I started my raw vegan journey in the latter 90's by first becoming vegetarian, and then vegan shortly after my twins were born in 2000. Last summer I did a "raw experiment", eating 100% raw for 3 weeks. Of course I didn't know how to prepare anything so I just ate a lot of fruit and smoothies supplemented with some nuts and seeds. I've continued to eat "mostly" raw since then and this site has helped me experiment with new ways of preparing foods. I'm looking forward to learning more and then sharing those learnings with others! As an avid weight lifter since college, I also like to help people understand that you can be healthy and even very strong eating only moderate amounts of high quality plant-based proteins.
