My father has always promoted healthy eating so I’ve always enjoyed fruits, vegetables and nuts.
Within the past 6 months, one of my housemates became a vegetarian and just recently another started transitioning to raw foods. I’ve had the opportunity to try out many tasty vegetarian and raw food dishes (made my first 3 raw food dishes from this site tonight!) and love them. The fact that I’m not that big on standing over a hot stove or monitoring an oven helps!
I’m not interested in becoming a raw foodist because I think modern technology has been a blessing in providing ways for us to get rid of toxins that occur in foods. However, I think we’ve gone overboard with all the processing. I’ve been trying to eat more raw foods within the fast few weeks however because of sinus/allergy issues. I guess my thought process is “If it tastes like a yummy cooked dish raw, why spend all the extra time cooking it and taking out most of the nutrients?”
I love this site and all the tasty recipes that are so easy to make AND good for you! Lemon cookies and avocado tomato salad are my faves!
