I’ve been raw since June of 2007. I went 100% straight away, and stayed that way until i started freezing in November. At that point i began doubting whether or not i should stay 100% raw, but quickly noticed the difference in my energy level, skin, weight and mood when i ate cooked food. So i decided to try again, making a point of eating more fats in the winter, particularly coconut, avocado and cashew. I’m really glad i stuck with it! I have lost 40 pounds so far, and i completely cured depression, acne and hypoglycemia.
At this point, i am hungry for new raw connections. More and more people are turning onto this way of life and it thrills me to no end. We have indeed discovered the fountain of youth. I have started writing a couple of books on the raw lifestyle and i’m trying to start a raw buying co-op in Seattle. If i could turn everyone onto this diet i would…and i’ll talk about raw and living foods with anyone, for hours, if they let me.
Part of why i decided to join here is that i’m putting together a recipe book to share with the world (my family and friend first) and i want to test out my recipes before printing the book. So i welcome any and all feedback on what i submit. I am also here to make sure i stay on track by having new ideas inspire me. After reading just a few recipes i am definitely jacked and ready to go soak some nuts.
