When started with a 100% raw diet, I had an unsatiable appetite, which would eventually set me up for binges. And, I didn’t have the time or patience to prepare meals with all the nutrition I needed. I was living off of pices of fruit and cuts of raw veggies. Now, I don’t have a purely raw diet, I’m doing what works for me. I let myself have 6oz of greek yogurt a day (For the protein my body LOVES, plus it’s amazingly nutritious!). I let myself have 1 serving of a “cheat” food as often as once a day (I usually have them about 4 times a week.) I didn’t want to say, “OK, nothing’s off-limits.” That was overwhelming and could easily turn a “cheat” into a binge. I have a list of about 6 or 7 things including popcorn, soy milk, tofu, jellybeans (I KNOW!), and beer/wine.
