This morning I was going to make my regular smoothie and realized I was out of spinach, so I decided to try one using a zucchini, which my garden is producing very prolifically right now! The result was a rich and creamy milkshake that really only has 1 T. sunflower seeds! I am trying to cut back fats and sugars for the summer. Also, after searching high and low I finally found alcohol free vanilla on the cook's vanilla website. I think this would make a good base smoothie for adding maca, spirulina, msm, coconut oil etc.
simple, lovely, easy and yummy
I'm drinking this right now for breakfast, and its amazingly creamy flavour is really really delicious! There is a bit of forethought involved in this recipe, but then again, that's part of being raw! And all you really have to do is remember to put a peeled banana in the freezer a few hours before you want to enjoy this milkshake! I think this would also be amazing churned through an ice cream maker, the frozen banana and rich almond milk make a base very similar to the custard one would use in a SAD ice cream recipe. You could also add a bit of cacao powder for a chocolate banana shake, or almond butter or tahini even for added richness. This recipe is super satisfying, and cures junk food cravings too because it tastes so yummy : )
Light sweet crumbly dessert with smooth custard perfect for Spring/Summer
Well guess who got creative in the kitchen........ me! I combined a few recipes to come up with some very yummy, easy, Raw Granola:)~ This is my favorite Raw concoction. I played with it for awhile and the final product is crisp, crunchy and super yummy! It requires a little bit of prep before hand but you'll be glad you waited because it's delicious! I soaked then dehydrated all of my nuts before I combined the mixture. This required it to be in the dehydrator for less time for the final product.
