anyone else Alkalising ??

i began an alkaline diet last July and successfully managed to stop taking insulin for diabetes control within 5 weeks.

does anyone else choose alkalising foods?

if you do how do you interpret the recipes here on goneraw to suit you ??

that's kind of the point of the raw diet. it's a good question about the recipes on here, many of which are pretty acidic, heavy, and fatty. I don't really even do the recipes on here much anymore. I basically just eat a bunch of fresh fruits and some lettuces, sometimes a slice of ezekiel toast. fruits and vegetables are most alkaline foods. the 811 people usually eat a very alkaline diet. happy new year

Here's a great article about acid and alkaline foods.

I stay as far away from acidifying foods as possible. I strive to eat 811, which, as RawKidChef said is very alkaline

  • ohhhh I can TELL very quickly if I've had too much acid...A while back i'd fluctuate between raw foods and SAD ones and I'd be able to tell the difference in how my stomach felt between the acidic diet and the alkaline diet.

Maybe it's all in my head?

I just feel best on an alkaline diet.

  • i too can feel a big difference when i eat the average western diet, my whole body just feels sluggish.

i dont eat too much fruit, mainly i stick to big plates of raw veggies and salady stuff, i eat tonnes of seeds now rather than nuts although i will dabble occasionally lol
