You can get a mini food prep processor for alot cheaper than 100.00, and just starting out i would recommend halving and even quartering recipes until you know you like it... i've thrown away so many recipes in the past two months since i've started raw.
Hit the flea market or even Target can hook you up with something even less than $50. In my experience, having a super awesome expensive food pro is kinda second to having a super awesome expensive juicer or blender. For now, just get what you can afford and start making cool stuff :)
As far as recipes go-- Ani Phyo has a great book on raw desserts!
Hi there I am just getting into this whole eat clean and raw deal. Have been reading many books and sites til now. I just bought a little $46 processor. I haven't had the chance to use it yet but it seems like it will do the job. I bought the item at Kmart and paid the extra 5 bucks to get it replaced in two years no questions asked. Hope this helps.
I got a mini kitchen aid from lowes for like 40-50$ it works great!! Next thing I'd invest in if I were you would be a blender... I have a blendtech, but vitamix is a great brand too. Hope you find health on this raw journey!!
Thanks guys!
I ended up buying one on craigslist from some woman who got it as a gift and never used it. I got it for less than half of the original price, even tho it still had the wrapping on it! It works amazingly.
I suggest this to anyone who was in my boat.
