Body Temperature

Recently I’ve noticed that I don’t feel miserably uncomfortable in the heat anymore. Before I went raw, I could barely stand being outside when the heat is soooooo hot in NYC like it is now. It seems like the city becomes one huge sauna when its 90+ degrees and in past years it was so hard for me to go outside and deal with it. Ever since I went raw I find myself actually ENJOYING the heat while all of my other un-raw friends suffer. I actually feel like my body temperature is COOLER than it ever was. Either that or I feel like my body keeps its equilibrium in terms of temperature. I even feel waves of coolness run through my body. Does anyone else experience something similar? Does anyone have explanations for these feelings? I think its completely amazing!!!!

  • I have noticed the exact same thing lately. I barely sweat anymore and haven’t felt uncomfortable in the heat once this year. I really notice it when I’m around my boyfriend or friends with a sad diet. They’ll complain of the heat and look like they’re baking and I feel fine, it’s baffling. I haven’t heard anyone talk about this perk before, I’d love to hear an explanation too!

And PS you really don’t burn in the sun when you’re RAW.You just score a killer tan and lovely glow:)

  • I have experienced the same thing, I actually can stand the heat and the cold as well. This has to do with the body balanced temperatures, the internal and the external. Before your RAW diet it is likely that due to wrong eating habits your digestive system was overworking, as a result it was over heating your internal organs thus causing an imbalance between your external temperature (37 Celsius) and internal (more than 37). This imbalanced temperature is the cause many people suffer heat and are always freezing in the winter time (there could be other causes though). A correct diet will re-establish the correct balanced body temperature and will as well maintain the body healthy. This principle was introduced about a century ago by Manuel Lezaeta Acharan a pioneer of natural medicine and creator of the thermal doctrine.

  • I have also experienced this phenomenon. I have been feeling cold now sense going raw 6 months ago. It was January and my feet were so cold they actually hurt. This is the only real negative thing that I have experienced thus far. I am however now enjoying it because everybody else is very hot right now and I am comfortable but in the house with the air conditioner I still get cold. I know this winter is going to be a real challenge to me as it does snow here and can get cold. I plan on getting some battery powered socks and some warmer clothing. I don’t want to walk around wrapped up like a mummy but all that suffering was not fun. I have heard from people online that in about 2 years that this normalized for them although I am sure that I will be cooler in the heat and a little colder in winter.

Okay, I totally didn’t think about this until yesterday. Here in Kansas City it was about 100degrees and sunny. I went to the pool and stayed there for two hours and not only did my energy level stay steady (usually totally exhausted) but I also have very fair skin and I didn’t burn a single bit! I actually tanned quite nicely! Totally weird. But very awesome. However, today my office a/c is broken and I’m sitting in a sweat box of 90 degrees and I’m pretty hot. Not dying, but hot.

I would say I agree, unfortunately even in wintertime! Making handling cold winters even harder for heat lovers like me!

I cant say I notice a difference in feeling comfortable in high temps but I have noticed that I don’t sweat as much and when I do it doesnt smell as bad as it used to. THANK GOD!

Hey, this happened to me too!! I thought about starting this thread but thought no one else would experience this.

I went hiking for 4 hours Saturday, and instead of sweating miserably and complaining like my friends, I was dry and felt like it was 75 (instead of 90!)

  • wow. i’m glad im not the only one!
