Braggs vs. Ume Plum Vinegar

Just wondering what others might think about which of these is the least objectionable. I haven’t reached 100% yet and probably won’t for a while. I have pretty much quit using Braggs after finding out it breaks down to MSG in the body. But, I still use a little Ume Plum vinegar on salads. I’m asking all you 100%er’s which do you think is worse?

I think Bragg’s is worse. Like you said, it contains free glutamates and they aren’t exactly truthful about how it’s made. I like Umeboshi plum vinegar, but I haven’t used it in ages. Eden brand uses no chemicals or dyes and it’s fermented in seasalt, not cooked.

i react very badly to braggs (mad stomach pain and headaches), and have no reaction to small amounts of ume plum vinegar (i use eden brand, their red wine vinegar is also good). so i would say braggs is worse.

  • Thanks 123 and elizabeth. I was really thinking Braggs is the worst of the 2 too. I use Eden brand of both Ume plum and red wine vinegars. I think it’s a pretty reputable brand.
