Day #2

Well i made it through yeasterday my first full raw day. my 6 year old just thinks she has to have the boneless bbq chicken at supercenter everytime. And OMG I actually broke a sweat trying to ignore the smell as she ate them. I was starving. but made it. I have made the broccoli salad with the raisens, this morning and can’t wait to eat it, I just am so hungry, I guess I sould be proud of the tummy growls right. It’s nice to know the old tummy can still make a noise way under there. Well I won’t be able to make it min. by min. with out the recipes on this site. people say just take it one day at a time. but I have to fight it min. to min. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR feed me !!!!!!!

    Sometimes dehydration is misinterpreted as hunger. Drink a lot of water a half an hour before meals and see if this helps. Congratulations for surviving the chicken craving!

    Please don’t take this wrong, I am in a bit of a hurry, so have to make this short: Why are you waiting to eat? Are you doing a fast? I have never been hungry since going raw. I eat fruits and veggies throughout the day. Whenever my body tells me it is hungry, I eat or make a green smoothie. 123 has good advice as well, staying hydrated is important, but if you are eating lots of fruits and veggies, then you get a ton of water!

    Yeah, I totally stuffed myself when I first went raw…and still do! For me, eating only raw food is for pleasure not punishment!

    I’m hardly ever hungry since eating raw. I don’t always eat three meals a day, but sometimes I snack on fruit, celery or nuts. I drink green smoothies daily.

  • I’m pretty much hungry all the time since going raw. So I’m pretty much always eating.

  • I read that there was a study done with pine nuts and hunger and the participants lost weight but weren’t hungry. You can blend them up with sweetener and put this filling in cherries or figs or you could blend them with spices green onion, garlic, etc. and put between cucumber slices, mix into guacamole, spread on tomatoes or celery, etc. I hope you can get over the hunger part because that’s the only way to make it work. Carrying healthy snacks is a great habit to get in for you and your kid!

    weirdphoenician, if I don’t eat, for sure I am hungry! I was just saying that unless you are fasting, there is no reason not to eat wonderful raw food whenever you get hungry! (Hope that made sense) :)
