Absolutely! I bought a new scale 5 months ago and when I measured my body fat it was 24. I was a little disappointed as I am a runner. Five months on raw food and I am down to 15% body fat. My weight has changed by only 7 lbs or so.

yes.Muscle weighs twice what the same amount of fat would weigh but the same amount in lbs takes up half the space. This is why I’ll also measure and calculate body fat. It is more accurate.

how do your measure your body fat? i remember getting pinched by one of those things back in PE class. is that what i should use?

I am not sure how it works, but my scale takes into account my height, weight, age, whether I am an athlete or normal person, and your feet are supposed to be damp on the sensors. Sounds crazy, but I hope it is accurate.

Those scales use electrical impedance I think. There are also formulas you can use that require you to take some measurements, plug in the numbers, do the math and voila! a pretty accurate body fat percentage.
