Oooo, Bluedolphin knows all about glyconutrients. I’m sure she’ll be able to answer your questions. She has a few interesting articles too.

A few of my friends sell them too… and they say they feel better better… and I’ve heard good things about glyconutrients.

  • Thanks you for that info

    germin~ Thankx. :)

AnnieR~ If you are talking about Pre-Menstral Tension (aka PMS in the US), that has more of an endocrine system component so the endocrine support product would probably benefit you more. However, whenever you support cellular communication with glyconutrients, you are supporting your whole body. The ideal solution is to find what you are missing and supply that because all body functions are interdependent. Does that make sense to you? Feel free to contact me. My email address is in my profile.

Thanks for checking into that, Bluedolphin. I knew I could ask you.

Yes, that is interesting that it is only included in the tablet form. And, true, it could have been the safest at the time. Safe or not, if it’s just for color… why bother?

Bluedolphin: Quick question, (btw, I like how you bold the names…) why is it that Ambrotose Plus even contains titanium dioxide? It says it’s for color, but I read something that made me wonder of its safety. Ambrotose is one of the recommended products that I hear good stuff about… and I noticed other ambrotose products do not have titanium dioxide.

Would you know what size the titanium dioxide is? According to one article, ultrafine or nano particles of titanium dioxide are of concern. Well, at least one can stay away from it by getting Advanced Ambrotose (& others)... but why would they even add it? Maybe it is not bad… ?

germin8~ I can address the color question without contacting the company. :) Many consumers are just downright weird about the color of things. I don’t know what color that tablet would be without it, but for a new product (the company’s first product), I bet, bright white probably tested better than a tablet of it’s original color. Consumer marketing is sometimes very “challenging.” I do know that there are many health professionals who use these products in their practice that are very knowledgeable in the area of ingredients and are always pushing to have “unnecessary” stuff phased out and other “really good stuff” to be added. The product line is heavily researched. The company spent over US$30 million over the last five years on research… kind of unheard or rarely heard of in the industry.

Yes, I figured it would be for such reasons. Which makes me wonder why green powdered drinks are sold. hehe

Well, isn’t there a saying that your best customer is an educated customer. But really, I’m not asking to have unnecessary things removed… it’s the harmful one’s I wonder about… and if they didn’t see anything wrong, I’d like to be educated! :o)

  • I haven’t tried glycos yet, but a short lymphatic drainage treatment almost completely cured my PMT. I couldn’t believe it. The only time I ever felt bad was that once a month, and so now I feel pretty great always… :) Have you tried that yet?

germin8~ Thank you for your question. I will get back to you with that info. I have emailed the company for clarification. :) Interesting, the article you included contains conflicting info (like usual about substances…). I don’t think titanium dioxide is contained in other products because that product is one of the few tablets in the product line. Most other products are in bulk powder or capsule form. I presume that at the time the product was formulated in the current form, that was the safest and best solution for the time. I do know that the company continues to research and reformulate products as better, safer, more efficacious options become available.

shakes13t~ That is great you found a solution. The name of the game is to find what works for you, whatever modality that is. :)

I trained in lymphatic draingage massage, when I was doing the course I was massages so much because we all practiced on each other, and I tell you, it totally blew me away. Sometimes the simplest things are the most powerful ;))

  • Hi Guys,

Thanks for all this information. I have never heard of lymphatic drainage treatment? I’ll have to look into it. Does anyone know of a good practitioner in london? I have taken some probiotics and Udo’s oil. And thats having an effect. So fingers crossed am getting closer to eliminating this. Thank you again I do appreciate all this input.

    Annie

  • I don’t know of any in London, but there are lots of ways to drain the lymph. I used a practitioner whose machine was supposed to be equivalent to seven lymphatic massages, although the massage probably feels better. (the machine doesn’t feel like anything.) Dry skin brushing, bouncing on a rebounder, or even just bouncing on your toes will do a little… You should definitely be able to find either a massage therapist or someone with the machine. Good luck, and let us know how the glycos work if you try them!

  • Lymphatic drainage makes a lot of sense to me re: PMT. I am a Polarity Therapy practitioner, which is an energetic bodywork system based on Ayurvedic principles. In Ayurveda, there are 5 primary energies (or elements) inc. ether, air, fire, water and earth. Each of these elements corresponds to the chakras and have different characteristics. The water chakra, located in the pelvis, corresponds to sexuality, creativity and deep emotions. When it gets “stuck” it can manifest physically, i.e. missed periods or emotionally (depression, etc.). The Lymph system is part of the water element and literally cleanses the body. It sounds like a great way to get that energy moving. I also do recommend gentle bodywork like Polarity, CranioSacral and Reiki. Good luck!

  • Okay, Am going to get one of these massages. Also getting my mercury fillings out this week, am so nervous about that. But have read that will also help. Apparentky there is a strong link with PMT. Anyway I hate having all that mercury in my mouth. And will definitely keep you guys posted if I get the glycos.
