Her birth went well and we were able to do it without any intervention or medication, which was our hope starting out. It was long and tiring - we had 24 hours of pre-labor and 18 hours of actual labor. She was born in a water tub with Ray right there. It was quite an incredible experience. We had her at a waterbirthing center in Portland called Andaluz and everyone was absolutely incredible there. I cannot say enough about them and how much they helped us have the birth experience we were looking for. Now, we're catching up on sleep and healing a bit.

vegan2raw - Yes, Zoë is "life" in Greek. The name appears to fit her well!
