Hi everyone, I am new to he board. I ran across this website as I was searching for ways to juice for better health. I would like to go raw but I do not know where to start. Can someone please help me with how to begin, such as equipment i need, shopping lists etc..just how to begin. please and thank you.
one of the threads here has lists (grocery lists) from many people who helped me when I got started a little over 30 days ago.
I do not have a juicer or a dehydrator. I do have a cheapo handheld immersion blender and a tiny food processor and I make do.
I will look for the lists for you and write back. This is a great site, welcome. Going raw is the best possible thing you can do for yourself. Eating food that is grown by light! I feel great eventhough I am still detoxing. Mental clarity, sense of wellbeing, better sleep, weight loss, skin improvement these are just a few of the benefits I have seen. Ok I will search and get back to you :) deasmiles.
I started about 2 years ago with a big salad everyday for lunch. 1 year ago I ditched the Fiber One cereal I was eating for breakfast for fresh fruit. Then about 6 months ago I started playing with a raw dinner here and there and replaced all my snacks with raw ones. Now I’m almost all raw. I’m allowing myself dinners out and eating cooked food socially. A little bit at a time worked for me, if you rush it, you may feel deprived and overwhelmed at having to do a complete overhaul. You’re going to have this body for the rest of your life Freedom treat it and yourself kindly:)
The topic is getting started…Basic and it can be found in the forum section food preparation. Good luck!
I eat green smoothies for breakfast and I do not eat until later around noon. I have a big salad for lunch and prepare a raw entree (go to the recipe section of this website) or a blended soup for dinner.
