hulled or dehulled?

This might just be the silliest question asked by a “new” to raw foods person – buuuut, I’ll ask anyway. I was wondering – when soaking seeds (such as sunflower, pumpkin, etc) am I supposed to soak them hulled or dehulled?

I can’t imagine you all sit there for hours dehulling seed after seed after seed once they have been soaked. If you soak hulled seeds – how do you dehull them? Or can I just soak dehulled seeds?
