Hi all,
I bought some Irish Moss and it went bad before I could use it...

Is there a way to prepare it (soak, etc)... and then dehydrate it to preserve it? ...for later use?

Or will this not work at all?

Hi germin8...Bluedolphin was kind enough to post this a while back
http://goneraw.com/forum/reference-irish-moss-how-use

The site it links to says to keep un-soaked irish moss in an airtight container in the fridge for months:)

Awesome, thank you so much for the reply.

Doesn't sound like anyone has dehydrated it.
I figure it would be like making Agar-Agar... Irish Moss flakes!

You are welcome:)
Let us know if you dehydrate it..sounds like that might work!
I know in the book "Sweet Gratitude" they strongly do not recommend using flakes, but if you are making it yourself from whole irish moss that might be different than the flakes you can buy.

Hmmm, I have to check my "Sweet Gratitude" book... I must've missed that! Thanks for the info.
