Itchy Shin

I have been partly raw for several months. Right from the beginning I noticed that my shin became quite itchy. In the beginning I thought I was detoxing. But it has persisted over the months. Did anyone else have a similar experience?

Are you consuming enough water-rich foods? What about Omega-3 fatty acids and Vitamins A, D, and all of the B Vitamins?

All of these vitamins and nutrients can contribute to itchy skin. It's possible you may be deficient in one or all of them.

B vitamin deficiency is tricky because they can mimic each other, so keep that in mind.

Do you eat flax, avocado, spirulina, or seaweeds?

If you do all of this, then it's possible you might be allergic to something and may want to consider an elimination diet of one food at a time of what you eat the most of.

    Hope this helps.

I am not taking any supplements.

I eat a good proportion of food in form of vegetables, leafy greens and fruits and I drink a lot of water.

I do take kelp and chlorella everyday in my smoothies. I use hemp oil, sunflower oil, flaxseed oil, sesame oil, olive oil, etc. in my salads pretty frequently - though, not all of them every time.

Is there a blood test that would tell me the level of vitamins and minerals in my body and if I am deficient in any of them?
