Juicer advise...

Hey, I am transitioning from vegan to raw and would really love to start having green smoothies once a day. My problem is that there’s no way I could afford a decent blender, dehydrator, and juicer, so I’ve decided on just the juicer. What brand has proven to be the best, fastest, quietest, ect. I know a decent one won’t be cheap, but what do you think I shouldn’t go under price-wise so I won’t buy something that breaks after one use? Thanks for your input!

  • i would recommend a vitamix over a good juicer. you can make juice in your vitamix by blending everything up and straining it through a nut mylk bag (or two paint strainer bags layered together, those are cheap to buy). you can get a vitamix refurbished for about $350, not cheap but worth it. If you have your heart set on a juicer- go with champion, its the best you can get in its price range. Hope that helps.

Like philo, I have the omega juicer. It’s great, but as the others said, a super blender like the vitamix is probably a better choice. I wish I had spent my money on a vitamix instead of a juicer, because you can do just as good a job juicing with a super blender and a nut milk bag as you can with a juicer. Plus, it looks like it takes a lot less time to clean up afterwards, if you use a blender instead of a juicer.

Good luck on whatever choice you make.
