JUICING

Hi! Does anyone know how long green juices are good for? I’m going to visit my parents this coming weekend and i don’t feel like packing up the juicer and blender to take with me. I want to juice ahead of time, but i’m not sure how long the juice will last (enzymes, nutrients, etc….) Any ideas??? I normally use Kale, Apple, Lemon, Celery. Sometimes i throw in beet or carrots… i did juice a cuke this morning and it seemed okay. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

  • I have wondered this to , maybe freezing them would help.

I use a greenstar and the literature says 3 days. I have tried to drink it on the 4th and it does taste off. It tastes best the 1st day and no noticeable change again until the 4th. I just had a conference I had to go to and took enough for 3 days and it was fine. I think there is some enzyme degradation but I think the nutrients should hold up well. With centrifugal juicers, I’ve always read to consume within 15 min because of the oxidation. If you had to freeze it, I still think that would be way better than no juice!
