just wondering would pickels be considered a raw food?
i wasnt sure because your not cooking them... just culturing them.. i believe thats the word.

It depends on the manufacturer. If they are pasteurized, they are exposed to very high temperatures. Chances are if it comes in a jar from the supermarket, it's been pasteurized for a longer shelf life.
