  • Hi, I don’t know why anyone would want to buy protein powder as most people eat way too much protein anyway. I eat pumpkin, sunflower and other seeds everyday along with fruits and veggies and that will do it. Rosemary

i agree. but for those who want to gain mass. where they would have to increase all macro nutrients. it is basically for convenience purposes.

It’s good there is a raw vegan one for those who use it. Remember though, protein doesn’t build protein no matter how much you consume. Amino acids build protein and your raw diet is loaded with amino acids already. I’ve seen a sample of your diet way back, Worley, and I know you get a ton of raw foods in your body for the activity you do. Just curious on your physical activity for an average week. I do 6 hours of cardio (spin, run,), 3 hours of Pilates and 3 hours of yoga weekly. My PT job is very physical as well. I have no need to supplement other than my Barleen’s Greens in the am smoothie. I don’t eat many nuts or seeds anymore either.

Working out in the gym (lifting weights) is what builds muscle.

For athletes, pregnant women, and/or people healing from trauma – looking for extra protein:

Hemp protein powder – Manitoba Harvest is my favorite brand, just add it to smoothies. It is complete and has the optimal ratio of essential fatty acids.

    Cheers, Kristen Suzanne

  • Hey Worley – long time, no hear. Glad to hear you’re still around.
