Southern girl gone raw.

Hey everybody! I am a college freshman from Alabama and have made the decision to go raw. Until this point I have been eating mostly fast food, sugar, and frozen meals. I have been living with IBS, headaches, and bad asthma for years now, as well as being overweight. I have decided to finally do something about my health and body, and I think going raw will be a great adventure. I have taken this week to figure out what I do/don’t like with the intention of being about 80% raw by next week. I can’t wait!

  • Hi MUSIC! I am proud of you…what a great journey it will be. I am not 100% and am fine that way. Whatever you improve will be a …uhh..improvement :) LOL! HC

  • Congratulations on your wonderful journey! You have definitely found a great place to start and provide fantastic information and support.

  • Hey there, I’m from Georgia but I moved to California less then 2 years ago. I see your moving to San Francisco. That is awesome. I recently went back to the south to visit my family and it was soooooooo hard eating raw. There is nothing organic at kroger or publix besides an apple. And the closest whole foods was over 1 hour away. So congrats on eating raw and being in the south. Once you move to California it’s so easy out here and people here are more open to different diets (well most people). Keep up the good work and good luck!

Yeah for raw Southerners! I’m from Georgia but currently live in Chicago. At least, in the south, there’s more time to be outside in warmer weather. My advice: be patient and take an exploratory approach. Let your body guide you to its own optimal health. Good luck!!!
