Steppin out to say hello

Just joined after watching what great posts you folks have. I started raw back in Oct of last year. Hope to learn alot here. Mainly I want to loose weight and get healthy. So far I do feel better but the weight thing is slow. From reading the posts I think my problem my be still transition and eating the nuts…...I will try getting rid of them, and do more greens and smoothies. Sounds right.

    Welcome to the forum! I have been reading a lot about raw for the past year as well. The book that helps me the most is Victoria Boutenko’s book, 12 steps to raw food. You can read a lot of book through the preview online at googlebooks.com.

    She mentions the importance of green smoothies – they can help curb food cravings. They help us get complete nutrition, as the body can absorb the nutrients best when they are broken down by a high speed blender.I can’t speak from experience, as I haven’t yet purchased a blender. But perhaps other raw foodies can chime in?
