UDO oil

I have a few recipe books that call for Udo Oil. What is it, why is it good, and can it be used as a replacement for any oil in a recipe, and visa versa? Is it truly raw? Any info. would be great, thanks!

Any takers on this? I need to get some new oil, and the only cold pressed, raw oil I can find in town is the Udo.

  • That is also known as Udo’s Choice. Before I was on 811 I used to take that as a supplement. I think it is 100% raw. Personally I do not believe in using oil. Oil is not found in nature which means it is always a processed food. The best way to get the equivalent of oil is from whole olives or avocados.

Thanks for the info. Socal, I have been looking at the websites and it was hard to determine if it was really raw. I wanted some feedback from someone who had used it.
