What to do to wake up?

I will be working in an early shift next week, do you have any idea what to do to really wake up and be alert quickly( apart from tea and coffee)?

sun salutations! some yoga, maybe 10 minutes and then body brushing and a shower. this works for me. when i do this my muscles and skin feel alive and awake!

Go to bed really early the night before.
Have a green smoothie in the morning, and do some exercise.

make it an ice cold shower. then switch the water to hot and repeat.

also, if you are coming off of drinking coffee you’ll notice after a while that you actually don’t need anything to make you feel alert. i’ve heard good things about watermelon juice. i personally like to wake up to something gingery or spicy—like a juice with ginger and/or jalapeno added (just a bit).

  • 1-2 Tbl spoons of Honey with a pinch of cinnamon in a glass of warm water. This also is a good substitute for tea/coffee to get a boost in energy, and may help in overcoming tea/coffee addiction.

  • thank you so much, you are all wonderful!

  • Deep breathing to oxygenate your body. Breath in for 6-8 counts, hold for the same, breathe out for the same. If you can do this in a forest or a least near some foliage or trees.

First thing I do every single morning is juice some carrots with ginger and an apple and then stick it in a blender with a scoop of green drink (right now using veggie splash) and a tsp of ground bee pollen and pinch of matcha.

This is a great wake up. Keeps me energetic and satisfied for about 5 hrs or so.
