what to eat in prep for a one day fast?

I want to start fasting once a week, and in the past few days i’ve eating mostly fruits with very little fats and some veggies (in smoothies), I planned on having smoothies only tomorrow, dose anyone have any advice as to what to eat the days before starting a fast, or are smoothies fine? I want to be able to accomplish this every week, and I would like to do it the best way possible. a pre thank you to all.xo
