Wild food

I think there's been a discussion on this somewhere before, but I want to start the ball rolling again anyway. How do your own localities fare as regards free and nutrient-loaded wild edibles? I'd be especially interested to hear from people living in rural or semi-rural areas. At the moment I'm planning out a blog about my own wanderings through the feasibility and sustainability of being raw vegan in a temperate climate, and hopefully wild food will play a big part.
