Wondering about bowels

I’ve been on the diet for my 5th day and it seems I’ve only had two bowel movements. The second one was a small one. I had my gall bladder taken out in 2000 and since then I haven’t been able to deal with cooked greens of any form(I’m not eating cooked greens now) and I was just wondering if anyone else has this problem and what can I do about it. I hate to sound all yucky but am I suppose to be seeing raw pieaces of food when I go to the bathroom?? I mean I am chewing well but since I don’t have a gall bladder to help with acid to break down the raw food is there anything else I could be doing?

  • I too have had my gall bladder taken out. It is that we don’t have the bile to break down certain things. When I was eating cooked food I would go to the bathroom after about every meal. I have noticed that with eating raw, I don’t have to go that often and it is weird since it is totally different than before. I think it is a good thing for us who have no gallbladder. It is easier on us. I also have noticed that I don’t have that acid stomach anymore

Hello, when I started taking natures biotics which I believe is similar to primal defense, my digestion and bowel movements improved dramatically. I think a raw blended diet is very good for those with digestive issues. I have also found apple cider vinegar very good with a meal as it helps provide the acid to break down food.
