waterbaby12347waterbaby12347 Raw Newbie

I am looking for a 2 parent family with at least one child, age 7-17.

If interested you would be checked out by the ABC Television network owned by Disney Corporation.

Wife Swap is now looking for nutrition experts, dietitians and their families for their 4th and 5th seasons. Also must live in the US.

The featured families will receive a $20,000. Wow just wish I could be considered!

Waterbaby, don’t forget to let them know that it’s a staple for the Jerry Springer crowd.

Thanks Dain5000, I wasn’t aware and you just did…. LOL

I am still working on the proper way to transfer information… Remember, sharing and spreading the raw diet is so important! And TV can reach millions!!! Hope more of you are also interested as they (ABC), will be interviewing hundreds or maybe thousands… Good Luck to all of YOU who are interested!!!

I went to visit some friends and their teenage children who were watching this show. From the little I saw of it, I had an immediate and negative reaction. Since I have only seen a few minutes of one episode, it was unfiar for me to judge the show so harshly and I decided to investigate other episodes to see if I had jumped to the wrong conclusion. Every clip I watched confirmed my initial impression.

Personally, I would never want to see anyone publically portrayed that way, so I offer these clips to those considering applying for a spot on the show. Raw foodists are not new to Wife Swap. I found a YouTube clip of a previous raw foodist who was selected to provide the level of entertainment the show was looking for. The clip was already titled by the person who posted it on YouTube as

Wife Swap Starring Crazy Red Neck Americans

Yes, it is helpful to share and spread the news about a raw food diet. However, it seems the word was that raw foodist are emotionally unbalanced freaks who believe that eating a sinle meal of cooked food will kill them. Perhaps there is something positive in there and I just missed it.

I am sure that show was a hit, but the real winner follows, where an obviously disturbed, hyper-religious woman has a meltdown, in front of her minor children, for our amusement.

    God Warrior

I don’t remember the details, but I believe the last time a raw foodist was on this show, they were portrayed in a fairly negative light. Some talk about it here…http://goneraw.com/forums/6/topics/1621

  • I have to admit I love watching this show. The thing I like about this show is that people really get to live the experience of “walking a mile in someone else’s shoes. They are forced to do things someone else’s way. Through that they usually come away with seeing ways to improve their families lives, by learning valuable life lessons.

“The show where they had the raw foodist’s as a family, they were raw foodist’s that ate raw meat. The people were a little extreme. They would eat raw fermented meat and raw chicken and stuff along that vein. So I think that was raw presented in an extreme light. I think if it was presented without the meat portion, it would be seen as healthful and natural, so it could be seen as being beneficial in promoting raw. I think it would be good for the average joe/joene american to see a healthy family, eating really healthy foods like fruits and veggies. Really think about how few times you see vegetarian/vegan/raw as promoted..

Thanks Kiwi for your supportive words and I too agree that you never see vegetarian, vegan or raw representing a great way to eat for nutritional enhancement…

I must admit that I have never seen this program and was NOT aware of the negativity…

I know that all I see on TV is one SAD fast food commercial after the next followed by some medication to take for the side effect of the food… REALLY AWFUL TEACHING for our young people!!!
