Yay Dolma Substitute!

So I wanted to share, I was finally able to come up with a good dolma substitute! I love love love good Mediterranean dolmas, but who knows what they do with the grape leaves and also, rice… This was a total fluke: I foraged for some malva leaves (my favorite) and decided to pickle them in sea salt brine for a couple of days. I actually didn’t let them ferment all the way, just soften a bit, but it might work better. Then I filled them with the jamestheraw’s all mighty tuna salad (http://goneraw.com/recipes/1908-tuna-salad-sand…) made with soaked brazils (not that it matters though) and rolled them up like dolmas… It came out so perfect I should’ve taken pictures (but I preferred eating them). Any other ideas for a less heavy filling though, anyone?
