Sweet! This is close to what I made for breakfast! I added 1/2 cup of blueberries instead of apple, and 1/3 cup or so of orange juice and 1/2 cup of water. It's AWESOME!

I work in a coffeeshop and our straws are that size, and colorful like that. I assume we get them from US Food Service.

I once went to a juice/smoothie bar, I believe Thai-based, called Bubble Bliss. Bubble Bliss sold "bubbles" as an option for your smoothie or frozen juice drink, I think made of tapioca, which were about the size of that straw. They gave you big straws so you could suck up the bubbles that would chill at the bottom of your drink. So someone does market them, they are probably available by the case in an online food service supply store. I collected more than a few, they really are amazing for smoothies and thick drinks..

I agree regarding the big, fat straws. I haven't been able to find any nice big ones for smoothies.

Is that straw really that big? If not, maybe someone should market big fat straws.!
