1 inch vanilla bean seeds, or 1 tsp. extract
1.blend almonds, hemp, and water.picture #2 shows sprouted almonds with skins removed:)
2.strain using nut milk bag.you should have about 1 cup “cream”.
3.add cream to blender with berries ,vanilla, and date paste.
4.process in 1 and1/2 quart ice cream maker.
also very good with chocolate chips mixed in at the end.
recipe can be easily doubled if using a bigger machine.can also just be a smoothie:)

yummy! this is the first ice cream recipe i used with my cusinart ice cream maker! i used brazil nuts (instead of the hemp seeds)... thanks for this awesome recipe!
I love it! We accidentally put in a whole vanilla bean but who cares? YUM!
hi miss souffle:)...i don't think the hempseeds are necessary for the ice cream..they do add a creaminess and nutritional value, but if you wanted to try some brazil nuts or macadamia for the high fat content that would be a good sub:) lucky you coming into summer..hehe
hi. this looks so yummy and its coming upto summer in new zealand sooo i was wondering if i make this what can i sub for the hempseeds? we dont have them in the country (i think) and if we did they'd be more then a pretty penny!
thanks,Viriditas...that's a great idea!
You could try freezing the mixture in ice cube trays and then blending it in a Vitamix. I actually haven't tried making ice cream in my vitamix yet, but it looks pretty easy on the instructional video. :)
hi Leogirl...i added a link above if you don't have a machine...i have a cuisinart ice cream maker, very easy and quick to use:)
What brand/type Ice Cream Maker do you use? Can this be made without one? Thanks for this recipe, it looks delicious!!!!
