At a coffe bar they sell this, so I was inspired to create a raw version!

Ingredients:

2 cup ice cubes
½ cup maple syrup or raw agave nectar
2 cup mixed berries
1½ lemons

Preparation:

First, run 1 cup of the berries through a juicer, and strain if necessary. Blend the strained juice with 3+ (depending on how sweet you want it) tablespoons of sweetener in a vita-mix. Set the juice in a separate container,

Next, to make the berry slushy part, run another 1/2 cup of berries through a juicer and strain. Blend this juice with 1 1/2 cup of ice cubes and 5 tablespoons of sweetener in a vita-mix until smooth slushy. Pour into a cup. Pour all of the berry juice that you made earlier over the berry slushy, and proceed to the next step.

Finally, to make the lemon slushy part, blend 1/2 cup ice cubes with all the juice squeezed from 1 1/2 lemons and 3+ tablespoons of sweetener(depending on how much sweet you like). Pour some lemon slushy over the berry slushy. Enjoy!

Actually, Daily Grind the franchise is limited to Virginia, West Virginia and Maryland but they are branching out with a few in Texas I believe. The ones with the Daily Grind Unwind slogan are franchises, the rest are just independents happened to be named that.

I work at the one in Lexington, the owner is the cousin of the founder. So it's interesting I recognized that.

The Daily Grind is a nationwide chain store, so there all over the country.

Is it in Austin Ranch? There's a place under my apartment called Daily Grind.

Was it a Daily Grind that served this? I work at one and we have a drink called EXACTLY that, with the same principle (pouring the lemonade over the berry).

Sounds yummy either way, I love agave so I can only imagine this is awesome.
