mmm...cold and refreshing. a delicious spin on chocolate milk.
handful or so of dried coconut flakes/shreds/etc. (could probably use fresh, if available)
a couple heaping spoonfuls of carob (or cacao if you can handle it!)
a handful of frozen cherries, preferably the dark red ones
a couple dates or more if you want it sweet
splash of delicious almond extract
few ice cubes to make it cold
water to desired consistency
throw all that stuff in a blender. just use best judgement for the amounts. you cant really mess it up. add more ice to make colder and icier, less or more water if you want thicker or thinner, etc. when you are done, there should be a chocolatey milk with some coconut shreds still surviving and floating on top like a frothy layer. now pour it in a glass and drink it! would be great to serve at a party as a non-alcoholic delicious beverage.
