Banana Cranberry Cream Smoothie
This is a lightly sweet creamy smoothie that kind of reminds me of blueberry but not quite. I think it would also be good with blue berries added to make a really awesome blueberry smoothie or ice cream. I also think it would be good with a little anise added, but I haven’t tried these yet.
2 bananas
2 sprinkle cinnamon
1 teaspoon non-alcohol vanilla extract
1 handful of hulled pumpkin seeds
2 tablespoon hulled hempseed
a few pecans (I used about 4 halves)
½ cup fresh cranberries or more to taste
water
to desired consistency
If you do not have a high speed blender, use ground nuts. Then blend all together adding water to your desired consistency. I think any nuts or seeds would taste good with this recipe but I think the earthy flavours of the pecans, hemp seed & pumpkin seeds tones down the spikeyness of the cranberry very well. Walnuts would probably be a good substitute. For my smoothie I added enough water to make 1 and a half large glasses … enjoy!!!

Excellent smoothie - even if I didn't have any hemp seeds! I used one cup of water. Thanks for giving me another use for this season's cranberries!

soooo good! I left out the seeds and nuts, added more cranberries, and juice of 2 clementines. added some chia and made it a pudding!

I just tried this one and it was yummy but I think next time I will add more cranberries...the earthy flavors of the nuts and seeds is great but I actually like to have the zingy flavor of cranberries...mine today was good and earthy, just not zingy enough for my tastebuds...if you like zing...you will need to add more cran to this recipe for sure.

I love cranberries!!! I buy the whole fresh cranberries all the time and put them in my smoothis. I was hoping there'd be a different one. It sounds delish.
