Servings:
Makes about 26oz of smoothieWe bought excellent ripe and juicy cantaloupes this weekend at our city market and i was inspired to juice and smoothie-ize them.
Ingredients:
.33 cantaloupe, peeled
¾ cup water
5 ice cubes
1½ cup spinach (or other greens)
2 teaspoon agave nectar (optional)
Preparation:
I cut about 1/3 of the cantaloupe into about 2 inch cubes. I blended the cantaloupe, ice and water until it was smooth. Then I added the spinach, and I thought it needed a little bit of sweetening, so I gave it a dash of agave nectar – but that’s completely up to personal taste.

Talk about serendipity - I was going to have some cantaloupe for lunch, but it turned out to be too firm & chewy. So I came here to see if by chance there were any recipes for cantaloupe smoothies, and yours had just been posted! I modified it a bit for myself - just tossed half a cantaloupe in the Vitamix with a big handful of spinach, six strawberries, a bit of stevia and a couple of ice cubes. It was delicious! Thank you Maihio! I'm going to be making this one a lot!
