Thick smoothie which makes a great breakfast.
1 cup of water
1 ripe banana
1/8th cup hulled hemp seeds
2 dried figs
1 heaped tsp carob powder
Easy as pie - stick all ingredients into the blender and blend until smooth. Pour into a glass and serve.
Sorry there is no picture, I didn't realise how nice it was going to be until I drank it and then there was none left to photograph!
Mmmmm! Sounds great - I love figs and recently got loads of hemp seeds.
This works well replacing the hemp seeds with either cashews or a large handful of spinach. An easy and enjoyable way to add in an extra serving of greens.
I LOVE figs- I have to get the rest of the ingredients and try this!
Thanks for sharing the recipe, and I'd love to see what else I can do with figs if anyone has more good recipes.
