A hydrating and smooth soup.

Tip: Use leftover pills of cucumber for your facial mask.

Apply pills to your face, leave for 10 minutes to hydrate, and then soften your skin with coconut oil.

We had this for lunch this afternoon. My husband made it so I don't know if he made it exactly like here, but it was really really good. Thanks.

would it be better to use molasses rather than agave as a substitute for yacon syrup?

Pilled means just pilled; seed are good to keep taking opportinity of "whole food" concept. Even pilling not necessary

Pilled cucumber means taking out the center, which is full of seeds. When you buy a cucumber, buy one that isn't shiny and is really bumpy - that means it has more 'meat' and fewer seeds. The shiny, puffy ones with no bumps are nothing but seeds.

the best way to judge a cuke, and whether it has big seeds, is to find one that is pretty slim.....when they get fat, they are older, and have developed large seeds. at least i have found this to be true.

rawmama - I'm pretty sure OP means PEELED cucumber. And you can use the PEELS for a facial mask. :) I think it's just a matter of english not being the first language. It's a tough language!!

I really don't like avocado, is there anything I can substitute it with? It looks so yummy otherwise!

I loooove this soup. Yes, I modified it a bit here and there, as always (I'm lazy), but it was the only soup I've ever made that was excellent!! Thank you so much for the recipe!

sgmom2: Raw Organic Nama Shoyu or Unpasteurized Raw Soy Sauce is an essential ingredient for all your savory dishes.

agamur: molasses is not what i ussually use; the flavor is very specific for me. if you like it i am sure it would be fine.

Yacon root syrup reminds me of the taste of molasses. It is not very sweet at all.

Yacon syrup comes from the yacon root that grows in Andean highlands of Peru. Here’s web-site with good info you can read www.sunfood.com It is low-calorie sweet liquid with earthy taste. it's good for non-dessert dishes and adds richer flavor not just sweetens. you can substitute with 1/2 doze of agave or any other sweetener you accustom.
