Curry Mushrooms

This taste like grilled/smoked mushrooms!!! Not sure measurements on dressing/marinade, just do it to taste! Serve with my Mango coconut sauce for a delicious tropical flavor.
Ingredients:
2 cup mushrooms, chopped or whole
1 teaspoon red onion, chopped finely
agave
nama
shoyu
apple cider vinegr
balsamic vinegar
curry powder
Preparation:
Mix all ingredients together except for mushrooms and onion. Then pour marinade over mushrooms and chopped onion and let marinate for a couple of hours (or eat right away) This can be done with whole portobellos too and put in the dehydrator for a real «roasted» treat!

I made this for my mom's birthday and she loved them! I used portabelos and braggs and served them with creamy basil fetuchini from this site. It was delicious!

OOh yum, just made this with braggs instead of nama shoyu and it does have a smoky flavour, I must admit i was skeptical but it really does and it tastes great. Will have to make this one for my Mother who loves smoked fish (and mushrooms thankfully) =).

Ahhhh ... miso! I can get that I my regular market. Awesome! Thanks for the suggestions. :)
6.
oh yeah! totally forgot, miso would be a good substitute.

I think a little miso might work or Bragg's if you use them.

I recommend using salt and a little lemon instead of the Nama Shoyu. Or just salt. That's primarily the flavor that Nama Shoyu gives.

Well...I have heard of many people looking for substitutes...I fortunately have a store real close so I have never had to look for one. I imagine you could use just salt, it would change the flavor a bit but yeah...other than that there really isn't anything I know of that taste like it. Do you maybe have an Asian market near you? At any rate, try it with just salt, I'm sure it will still be good!

This sounds sooooo good. I love anything curry. I have a question though: I've seen nama shoyu as an ingredient in lots of recipes, is there something I could use as a substitute? My nearest specialty store is about an hour away & I've never found it in any of my local markets. Anyways ... it sounds delish! Thanks for sharing. :)
