A whole new way to enjoy the delicious durian.
Ingredients:
½ Durian
3 Young Coconuts
Preparation:
Blend up the meat from the coconuts with the durian, using enough coconut water to get it to blend. This makes a huge bowl of pudding so you could adjust the recipe amounts for your needs. My 9 month old son goes nuts for this.

Hi Lauraj,
do you live in or near a big city? If you do, any asian market is a good prospect for durian. Not just chinese, but asian, so thai, philippino, any asian market really. Just go to one and ask the people who work there if they have it. I did it while visiting SF last month. It was a huge market and the guy took me right to where the durians were and even helped me pick one out. good luck :) dea.

Sounds like a great recipe! Durian is an Asian fruit, a little bigger than a football with a very spiny outer covering. When you cut it open, often you'll get a whiff of sulfur. The part you eat is the pulp surrounding the large seeds. It's yellow, fatty/creamy (perfect for puddings and ice cream), and the taste is impossible to describe. It doesn't taste bad or like it smells, it's just an acquired taste for a lot of people. I blended it with coconut flakes and bananas, and froze it. =)
