Recipe Directions

1. Wash greens and roughly tear or cut up the leaves. Put in your favorite salad bowl.

2. Peel mangoes. I then used my cucumber peeler to cut the fruits into thin stripes. They were soft, so it was a pretty juicy business. When I was down to the kernel (is that the right word?) I pressed the juice from it with my hands.

3. Mix greens and everything you get from those mangoes thoroughly with your hands.

4. Grab your loved one, sit down with the bowl between you and eat right out of the bowl with your fingers. Don’t forget to feed each other! :)

Sossoco's Thoughts

By sossoco

Sometimes the way raw food has come simply blows me away! I go crazy reading recipes, and my head swirls with all the soaking/sprouting/blending/processing/layering/assembling/marinating/dehydrating.

I wanted my taste buds and my food brain to take a break.

No salt, no oils, no fats, no spices, simply green. I couldn’t believe how much I liked the results! :)

The picture does not show the salad, only the spinach. I’ll add an adequate image of this quiet little superstar of my diet soon.

I wanted "simple" a few days ago and cut up one of the ripest sweetest mangoes ever and cubed some avocado and ate them together for breakfast...the perfect marriage!

I love mangos!! I never use oils, salts, dressings, etc. on my salads. It robs the freshness and whole taste of the veggies! And I can't eat just greens, I always throw in fruit as well! Try a salad with mango, peach, and rasberries - super yummy!! Mix and match fruit and veggies for hundreds of different combined salads. Glad to hear someone else loves their salads plain with fruit!! :D
