Omshanti's Thoughts

Ok so I fell for it. The sign said 15 avocados for 3 bucks.

Well, sure, mini avocados! No worries though as picnic season is fast approaching, not to mention St. Paddys Day where green food is all the rage.

Hubby gave these two thumbs up with yummy noises! Enjoy!

P.S. For sweeter eggs, use less vinegar and a touch of agave.

Ooooo, wish I could find these cute mini avos. I have never seen them or heard about them. Are they common? I have requested items from my grocer and he has never been able to accomodate me.

So fun! I have bought Bubbies no vinegar pickles (in the refrigerated section at my health food store), and they are raw, but I don't think all the Bubbies brand products are. I also saw a recipe on here a few days ago for some kind of pickles.

Maybe finely diced olives would work as a substitute for the pickles. :)

enjoyraw, you stuff the halved avos, so the avos do not go into the mix....pickling is only a matter of vinegar pickling spices and fresh veggies...oh and patience!;)

Am I correct in that you DO NOT use the Avos as part of the mixture.

omshanti - How do you make your own pickles?

Lokks super yummy,I have all the ingredients but pickles. What brand of pickles do you use. and are pickles considered raw. I was thinking I think this is the name bubbies picles, they also make sauerkraut. Does anyone know if that brand is raw?Thank-you much for any help.
