Easy Peasy Fruit Roll Ups
These are a really easy and quick snack for when you're on the go. I made them for school as a need to have a sweet sugar pick-me-up with out being sticky or needing a time out. I'm sure you could use them in anything else, and I'll post a recipe
in how to use them as a base for a dessert. Have fun!
:)
~ Three ripe bananas
~ Cup of berries (I used strawberries)
~ Pinch of salt
That's it!
Blend it
Put it on teflex sheets in the dehydrator about a quarter inch thick.
Dehydrate at 105 degrees F until dry.
The banana will keep them from getting too dry, so don't be too terribly afraid of them crumbling.
Peel them off the sheets. Mine turned out so shinny they looked laminated.
Cut them with a very sharp knife or razor (you'll need to use the tip of the knife and pull hard while holding
the fruit roll down. I gave up after a couple and just used the knife to make small cuts that I could tear).
Roll up and wrap with wax paper.

I love raw roll ups. Its great to find a treat kids like that seem naughty but is 100% real ingredients. I make these all the time.

I don't remember how long, definitely overnight. Really just depends. And I found that after they sat a few days-possibly a week- between towels they were almost like...mousse? Only...hard and rolled? Somewhere between a little sponge and fluffy leather? I dunno really how to explain but they were good! Not tough or cracked at all. :)
