Recipe Directions

Cut the wheat grass into 2 inch lengths (approximately), put the wheat grass and water in the blender and blend on high until all is liquified. Pour the mixture into a tall glass. Spoon off the foam, add a spritz of lemon juice, and drink.

I’ve had trouble with the taste of WGJ in the past but the lemon completely neutralizes the sweet grassiness that made me want to gag. I like this juice.

I’ve made this twice now. Both times I strained it through a nut milk bag but there was no residue in the bag. Next time I’m going to omit that step.

I recently read Ann Wigmore’s autobiography, Why Suffer?, and got inspired to add WGJ to my daily routine. This makes it easy.

This blender wheat grass juice is quick and easy. A spritz of lemon makes it delicious.

I'm also so happy that I don't need a special juicer. I had one once - an expensive electric one -- and it was really hard to use. The grass kept getting stopped up in it. And it was hard to clean, too. So making just an ounce or two would take about 1/2 hour. It takes under 5 minutes in the K-tec, cleanup and all.

So glad this helps you too.

I've been wanting to add wheatgrass juice to my daily intake, but am not ready to buy a wheatgrass juicer. So I will try this recipe out in the meantime. Thanks for the idea!

Thanks for this recipe, I just picked up a wheat grass tray from the grocery yesterday and have been trying to figure out how to use it. The research I found indicated a special wheat grass juicer was needed. I suppose I'm worried about ingesting the entirety of the grass as would happen if you use a blender...so I've just been chewing it like a cud :o)
