Servings:
1 teflex tray or 20 bread piecesCheflandria’s Everyday Raw Food Recipe
I made this by accident and it came out fantastic! It’s plyable like bread. It was a recipe to actually attempt to make raviolis but turned out to be much better as bread. It’s really very simple and great for any type of sandwiches. It tastes a bit nutty sort of like wheat bread.
Preparation:
Flax Bread
1 cup flax seeds, grounded fine and soaked in filtered water for about 30 mins
1/2 cup water to soak flax
seed
1 1/2 cups almond pulp, the remainders from making almond milk
1/2 cup almond
meal
salt to taste
Combine all ingredients in a bowl and mix well. Spread it out in a teflex sheet and dehydrate for 20 hours – flipping it at the 15th hour. Enjoy!

2. Trader Joe's has raw almond
Trader Joe's has raw almond flour? Can I make the flour myself, or would it be too much like almond butter?

For almond pulp couldn't you soak your almonds then process them??

thanks 123! i try to post when I have time...:-)
Almond meal is almond flour, samething - you can get it at Trader Joes for a good price.
I am not sure what would be a good substitute for almond pulp...the pulp makes a good nutty taste on the bread - maybe buckwheat but don't dry the buckwheat too long, it gets bitter and the bread will not be plyable, it turns into a cracker - that is my experience

I make the same thing! By almond meal, you mean almond flour, right? I like how you gt it so bread-like in slices. :)

Looks very good. What can you do if you don't make almond milk or have leftover pulp? Can you do something with the whole almond?

I make something similar to this - it is also good if you leave out the salt and add a little powdered ginger and cinnamon; I use that with nut butter and/or raw jam.
