Mmmm - I used this idea but used the fruits I had on hand - green smoothie of banana, spinach, mango and pineapple juice, with chopped persimmon, pineapple and raspberries for the fruit! Really sweet and comforting!

I like using recipes that are mere templates.. like this one.. obviously can be made with any fruit.. and i usually try to do mostly local but it gets so difficult in the winter!

Yummmm! I love figs, great idea! Thanks

Good idea. Sometimes it's nice to linger over breakfast instead of literally gulping it down. There's more mental satisfaction; you're "having a meal" instead of just "eating something."

I find myself doing this far more often than having a salad.
If you try it out, let me know if you come across any super good combinations!
