Hemp milk matè chai
For those cold rainy nights, nothing like a warm (warmish) drink to comfort you. This drink is delicious and good for you. The spices are very warming, enjoy :)
2 tablespoon unsmoked matè
2 tablespoon raw honey or dark agave nectar
pinch pink himalayan salt or celtic
salt
1 liter of water or 1 generous quart
pinch ground cloves
sprinkle generous sprinkle of cinnamon
cup hemp
milk
teaspoon coconut oil
Heat the water gently in a double boiler or bain marie, stir the matè tea in and let it steep, pour the hemp milk into the tea mixture, add the honey or agave nectar, cloves, salt, coconut oil and cinnamon. Stir the ingredients with a wooden spoon and let the mixture gently steep and warm in the bowl over the hot water (double boiler set up). Put in the blender and give it a good whirl. Pour into warmed mugs and serve with a cinnamon stick. :)
Ps. I warm my mugs setting them on the hearth by the fire or put them in a low oven for a few minutes. The warmth that the mugs transfer to your hands enhances the warm aspect of this drink. :)

It sounds like a yummy drink. I enjoy green teas and tisanes. I have yet to try hemp seeds. Warming your mug is a great tip. Thanks Deasmiles.
