Instant hot breakfast cereal
I was trying to come up with a cereal to take camping and made this. Now I eat it every day! It is thick and creamy with a great texture. It is easy to pack so that I can eat at work. My mom, who isn't raw, is hooked! I made her two gallon ziplocs to take home with her, she lives several states away. This recipe multiples easily, the ratio is 2 to 1 to 1/2.
2 c,. raw oats
1 c. buckwheaties (soaked, dehydrated buckwheat groats)
1/2 c. chia seed (I use white
chia)
pinch of salt
dash (a big dash) of good cinnamon
handful of raisins or your favorite dried fruit
sweetner to taste (optional)
Put all ingredients except sweetner in a container. I use a half gallon jar. Shake to mix. That's it, you're done! I usually eat about a half a cup of dry mix. I pack it in small bags or containers with sweetner. When I'm ready to eat, I just add warm water (about 1/2 to 3/4 c. depending on the thickness you prefer) and stir. Let it sit a few minutes and it'll thicken. Sometimes I will dry apple peels and grind them into powder, it makes a great sweetner. It is also good without sweetner, the dried fruit is often enough You can also add nuts for a little extra something.

Oooh sounds good! I'll have to try it. A little belated, but I can only imagine this would make staying raw so much easier in the winter time....
