Jicama Fries

Servings:
Serves 4Tasty and refreshing, with a bit of a kick.
Ingredients:
1 jicama, cut into fry shapes
3 tablespoon olive oil
½ teaspoon sea
salt
¼ teaspoon garlic, or more, to taste
¼ teaspoon cayenne, or more, to taste
1 pinch cumin, or more, to taste
Preparation:
Mix oil and spices together. Toss with jicama strips. Enjoy!

I don't know any synonyms for jicama. Here's "a picture":http://www.vegiworks.com/jicama.jpg of what you'd be looking for. I've found them at our coop and, I believe, at asian grocery stores.

I've often looked for jicama while food shopping, but can't seem to find some. This is definitely on my recipe list when I do though!
Would they by any chance have a name synonym?

I've never been much of a fan of french fries, but absolutely love these. They're crisp, spicy and refreshing.
