Recipe Directions

1. Make a batch of “Better Than Sliced Bread.” Once bread seems done, break into small crouton-sized pieces and put back in the dehydrator overnight or until pieces of bread are crisp and crunchy.

2. Dice apples into small pieces. (You can peel the apples if you like, but I usually don’t). In a large bowl, mix apples and raisins with the “croutons.”

3. Make a batch of un-turkey broth. Slowly and gradually pour on top of above mixture and stir. Use between 1-2 cups depending on how moist you like your stuffing. Pour apple juice over mixture as well to add a hint of sweetness. I usually alternate pouring about 1/4 cup at a time of broth then juice. My mom also adds wine to her stuffing, but that is optional. I think it comes out really well with the juice and broth.

4. Place mixture into casserole dish and place in warm (100 degrees) oven or dehydrator to warm and let the bread mixture soak up the liquid.

Sometimes, I will also put a little of whipped buttery spread on top. Yum Yum Yummy!!

My mom makes the most amazing stuffing, and this is the raw version of it.

Perfect for the upcoming holidays!
